In recent weeks, there has been a lot of talk about a series of proposals from developers at Mozilla, and one rules of photo editing — https://learnediting.photo.blog/, the ideas has been to increase the number of Firefox applications that run on an open-source system. This is an idea which could open the door to some amazing web experiences: a system that will be open, with the right software, and which will provide support for the majority of users of our open source apps.
Now, at this point, there can be little doubt that this idea is in fact a lot more interesting than the idea of an open standard, which was the idea behind the open-source project LibreOffice in 2013. The goal is quite clear: to enable a wide range of open source applications for the web.
Here are a few highlights from the press release from Mozilla:
«Today the Web Association has been invited to convene at a conference called Open Firefox for All to discuss Firefox OS 8, the new version of Firefox that will allow you to run almost any form of software that your browser does. A key theme of the conference will be the open, open, and open-source nature of Firefox: no other platform has ever been able to make open access the platform of choice for those for whom Mozilla is providing open access to its applications.»
The keynote address of the conference will be held in Seattle, and attendees will have a chance to see how Mozilla is addressing that opportunity.
In terms of the conference itself, Mozilla’s focus revolves around bringing Firefox users to the core of the Web so they can do an extensive selection of websites from its open source code base. To give
